1. Introduction

The service “Renewal of Registration of Potters / Artisans engaged in Pottery (Kumhari) and Clay Work” is administered by the Chhattisgarh Matikala Board for renewal of previously registered artisans whose 10-year registration period has expired. Renewal is mandatory after completion of 10 years from the date of original registration.

Through renewal:

• The artisan continues to remain eligible under Board schemes.
• Registration validity is extended for the next 10 years.
• Updated occupational details are recorded.
• Participate in exhibitions, training, and marketing support programs.

Under Sewa Setu 2.0, the service will generate an ARN for tracking and monitoring.

2. Eligibility Criteria

1. The applicant must be traditionally engaged in pottery (Kumhari) and clay-related work.
2. The applicant must be a native resident of the State of Chhattisgarh.
3. The Registration Certificate issued after renewal shall remain valid for a period of 10 years from the date of issuance.
4. The Registration Certificate issued to potters/artisans engaged in pottery (Kumhari) and clay work must be mandatorily renewed after every 10 years.
